My original degree is a doctorate in chiropractic, so I came to psychotherapy through a somatic orientation. I was in private practice as a chiropractor using a low-force approach that releases trauma from the nervous system. I found working with the body amazing, as it holds our history from preverbal to our present life. At a certain point, I also felt like I was working with half the system.
This is when I started training in SRT. After practicing SRT, I wanted a more developmental and relational understanding of the psychology of mind, which is when I obtained another degree and completed additional fellowships.
Because of this background, my approach with patients is holistic.
